Advanced noise-reducing technologies for propulsion systems of next generation Ultra-efficient SMR aircraft

Overview

Funding for the development and demonstration of advanced noise-reducing and lightweight technologies for ultra-high bypass ratio (UHBR) propulsion systems in next-generation ultra-efficient small and medium-range (SMR) aircraft. Targets research consortia and industry partners aiming to mature distortion-tolerant fan and intake solutions to Technology Readiness Level 5 (TRL5).

Consortia of legal entities established in eligible countries, including EU Member States, Horizon Europe Associated Countries, and select non-associated countries with specific funding provisions. Eligible applicants include industry, research organizations, universities, and other entities with demonstrated expertise in aerospace propulsion, aero-acoustics, or lightweight materials.
