Who Can Apply

Consortia comprising:
  • At least two electricity Transmission System Operators (TSOs)
  • At least two universities and/or research organisations
  • At least one technology/solution supplier for TSO control rooms
  • At least two distribution system operators (DSOs) connected to participating TSOs’ grids
  • Collaboration with projects under the "Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS)" call is encouraged

What Is Funded

  • Development and testing of innovative hardware/software solutions for TSO control rooms, including:
- Wide Area Monitoring Systems (WAMS) for real-time grid monitoring - Data-driven grid operations, real-time analytics, and smart asset integration - Forecasting tools for supply, demand, flexibility, and grid capacity - Advanced analytics, visualisations, and decision-support systems - Interoperability solutions between TSOs and with DSOs - Digital twins and AI-based tools for grid management - Cybersecurity-by-design and protection mechanisms - Open-source software modules and vendor-agnostic architectures
  • Pilots in at least two EU Member States or Associated Countries
  • Best practices manual and operational instructions for TSOs
