Consortia of legal entities from EU Member States, Horizon Europe Associated Countries, and African Union member states. At least 30% of beneficiaries must be established in African Union member states.Funding Details
- Maximum grant amount: €15,000,000
- Funding rate: Up to 50% of eligible costs
- Financial support to third parties (FSTP) allowed, with a maximum of €500,000 per third party unless justified otherwise
What Is Funded
- Climate risk reduction and resilience, with emphasis on context-specific solutions for Africa
- Climate-related data availability, sharing, and information platforms
- Climate services and integrated knowledge approaches
- Co-design, co-development, and demonstration with end-users
- Joint calls for research and innovation projects
- Capacity building, researcher exchange, and skills development for African scientists and practitioners
- Coordination and clustering activities to align efforts with other EU, national, and multilateral initiatives

Notes
- Projects must use Copernicus and/or Galileo/EGNOS for satellite-based earth observation, positioning, navigation, or timing data if applicable.
- Proposals must ensure geographical balance and inclusiveness, particularly for African Union member states.
- The action is expected to last 5-6 years to establish sustainable collaboration.
