Who Can Apply

Host organizations (academic or non-academic) located in Widening countries, applying jointly with postdoctoral researchers of any nationality. Researchers must engage in cross-border mobility to or within the EU.

Funding Details

Maximum grant amount: 500,000 EUR. Specific funding rates and co-funding requirements are outlined in the MSCA Work Programme.

What Is Funded

Research and innovation projects with a focus on:
  • Cross-border mobility for postdoctoral researchers.
  • Training in transferable skills, innovation, entrepreneurship, and Open Science practices.
  • Optional secondments (up to one-third of fellowship duration) and non-academic placements (up to six months).
  • Career development plans for researchers.

Technology / Maturity Requirements

Projects must align with Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) 4 to 6.

Application Process (High-Level)

Single-stage application process via the Funding & Tenders Portal. Proposals must include a joint application by the researcher and host organization, along with a career development plan.

Post-Award Obligations

  • Submission of a career development plan as a project deliverable.
  • Compliance with the European Charter for Researchers.
  • Reporting and dissemination requirements as outlined in the grant agreement.

  • Seals of Excellence may be awarded to high-quality proposals that cannot be funded due to budget constraints.
