Overview

Who Can Apply

Consortia comprising at least three independent legal entities from three different EU Member States or Horizon Europe-associated countries. Eligible applicants include universities, research organizations, hospitals, SMEs, and public or private entities engaged in brain health research.

Funding Details

Total budget: EUR 50 million. Individual project funding ranges from EUR 3 million to EUR 6 million. Funding rate is up to 100% of eligible costs for non-profit entities and up to 70% for for-profit organizations.

Research into:
  • Biological mechanisms underlying brain health and disorder trajectories.
  • Social and environmental determinants of brain health.
  • Interventions or strategies to promote brain health or mitigate disorder progression.
  • Cross-disciplinary approaches integrating neuroscience, epidemiology, and public health.

Technology / Maturity Requirements

Projects must demonstrate a clear research hypothesis and methodology. No explicit TRL requirement, but proposals should align with foundational or translational research stages (typically TRL 1-4).
