Who Can Apply

Consortia of legal entities established in eligible countries, including universities, research institutions, SMEs, industry, and public bodies. International collaboration is encouraged.

Funding Details

Maximum grant amount: 13,500,000 EUR. Funding is provided as a lump sum.

  • Development of a European-level database on EV fire accidents.
  • Innovative fire detection, prevention, and suppression solutions for confined spaces.
  • Standardised fire risk assessments and protocols for EVs during charging and storage.
  • Real-time monitoring and early warning systems for thermal runaway.
  • Public awareness campaigns and stakeholder engagement platforms.
  • Integration with existing safety standards (e.g., ISO, NFPA).

Technology / Maturity Requirements

Projects must target Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) 4 to 6.

  • Results must be reported to the 2ZERO Partnership for KPI monitoring.
