Supports research projects that identify and promote competences needed for the green transition in key sectors, providing actionable policy and educational recommendations for young people, workers, and institutions. Targets policymakers, education providers, and social partners.

Who Can Apply

Consortia of legal entities (e.g., universities, research institutions, public bodies, NGOs, and private sector organizations) from eligible countries. Participation of industry and social partners is encouraged.

What Is Funded

Research and innovation projects addressing competences for the green transition in one of the following sectors: 1. Sustainable agriculture and food production 2. Automotive industry 3. Energy 4. Construction 5. Nature and climate adaptation

Key focus areas include:

• Identifying competences required for the green transition
• Assessing methods to measure readiness for green jobs
• Exploring synergies between green and digital transitions
• Enhancing collaboration between policymakers, educators, and employers
• Promoting inclusive access to education and training, with attention to gender and disability dimensions
• Developing lifelong learning frameworks for green competences

Technology / Maturity Requirements

Projects must target Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) 4 to 6.

Application Process (High-Level)

Single-stage submission via the Funding & Tenders Portal. Proposals must include a detailed budget table and adhere to a 50-page limit for Part B of the application.
