Funding for projects developing and testing feed additives that reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve feed efficiency in livestock farming, targeting large ruminants and diverse production systems. Aims to support sustainable agriculture, policy implementation, and farmer adoption of innovative solutions.

Who Can Apply

Consortia of multi-actor partnerships, including farmers, advisors, private sector (e.g., feed manufacturers), policymakers, consumers, and research organizations. International cooperation is encouraged. The Joint Research Centre (JRC) may participate as a beneficiary with zero funding or as an associated partner.

• Development and testing of feed additives to reduce emissions in operational environments (TRL 7)

• Standardized data collection systems for quality control and reporting
• Strategies for distribution, farmer education, subsidies, and consumer perception analysis
• Assessment of socio-economic and environmental impacts, including trade-offs

Technology / Maturity Requirements

• Projects must achieve TRL 7 by the end of the project
• Activities may start at any TRL within the range of 7–9
