Consortia of industry representatives, SMEs, brand owners, producers, retailers, local authorities, waste managers, economic operators, consumer organisations, researchers, and NGOs. Applicants must include relevant stakeholders from the footwear value chain.Funding Details
Maximum grant amount: 8,000,000 EUR. Funding is provided as a lump sum.What Is Funded
Projects must address:- Technical, environmental, economic, and social challenges of circularity in the footwear industry).
- Development and testing of new methods and technologies for collection, sorting, reuse, and recycling of post-consumer footwear, including digital tools (e.g., AI, Digital Product Passport).
- Innovative business models promoting circularity, sustainable design, take-back solutions, and consumer awareness.
- Collaboration strategies among stakeholders to manage hazardous chemicals and microplastics in footwear waste.
