Overview

Who Can Apply

Consortia of legal entities established in eligible countries, including research institutions, industry, SMEs, and public bodies. Proposals must involve at least three independent entities from three different eligible countries.

Funding Details

Maximum grant amount: 9,400,000 EUR per project. Funding is provided as a lump sum, with eligible costs determined by the Horizon Europe lump sum model.

What Is Funded

Development and demonstration of on-site robotic and automated techniques for building renovation and new construction, with at least one technique involving 3D printing. Projects must address:
  • Adaptability to various building typologies and materials.
  • Worker safety and human-robot collaboration.
  • Energy performance at least equivalent to current best practices.
  • Three real-world demonstrations across different building types and climatic conditions.

Technology / Maturity Requirements

Proposals must target Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) 4 to 6, focusing on applied research and demonstration in operational environments.

Notes

  • Prefabrication solutions developed off-site are excluded.
  • Projects using satellite-based data must utilize Copernicus and/or Galileo/EGNOS.
  • The Joint Research Centre (JRC) may participate as a zero-funding beneficiary or associated partner.
  • Intellectual property transfer or exclusive licensing may be subject to objections by the granting authority for up to four years post-project.
