Projects to Support Maritime Spatial Planning (MSP)

Overview

Funding for projects that develop innovative solutions to common challenges in implementing, monitoring, or revising maritime spatial plans across EU coastal Member States. Targets initiatives that ensure coherence and coordination of plans within or across marine regions.

Who Can Apply

Eligible applicants include public authorities, research institutions, non-governmental organizations, and private entities from EU coastal Member States. Consortia involving multiple stakeholders are encouraged, particularly those addressing cross-border or sea basin challenges.

What Is Funded

Projects must address one or more of the following priorities:

• Implementation of Maritime Spatial Planning (MSP) under Directive 2014/89.
• Development of innovative tools or methodologies for MSP monitoring and revision.
• Solutions to shared challenges among coastal Member States, applicable within or across sea basins.
• Coordination and coherence of maritime plans at regional or transnational levels.

Technology / Maturity Requirements
