Overview
Funding supports research to enhance understanding of systemic risks and crises affecting European agriculture, forestry, and their supply chains, including climate change and trade disruptions, to inform evidence-based policy and resilience strategies.Who Can Apply
Consortia of legal entities established in eligible countries, including universities, research institutions, public bodies, private companies, and non-governmental organizations. The Joint Research Centre (JRC) may participate as a beneficiary with zero funding or as an associated partner.Funding Details
Maximum funding per project: 11,000,000 EUR. Funding is provided as a lump sum.What Is Funded
Research must address either:- Area A: Agriculture and agri-food supply chains, or
- Area B: Forestry and forest-based supply chains.
Key activities include:
- Improving analytical capacity on exposure, propagation, and impacts of systemic risks and crises, including climate change and trade disruptions.
- Exploring socio-economic and technological options for prevention, preparedness, management, adaptation, and transformation strategies.
- Analyzing costs, benefits, and trade-offs of policy instruments and strategies, including societal and institutional preconditions.
- Collaborating with other projects under this topic and relevant EU initiatives, such as the EU Missions on Adaptation to Climate Change and on Soil.
- Ensuring interdisciplinary work involving social sciences and humanities (SSH) and science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines.

- A balanced portfolio will be ensured by awarding grants to the highest-ranked proposals in both areas, provided they meet all thresholds.

- Proposals selected in Area A must collaborate with projects under the topic HORIZON-CL6-2027-03-GOVERNANCE-01.
- Proposals should leverage existing research findings, tools, and European research infrastructures where relevant.
