Consortia comprising legal entities from eligible countries, with mandatory participation of at least one research institution or public authority from Ukraine. Eligible applicants include academic and research institutions, public authorities, NGOs, forest industry representatives, and civil society organizations.Funding Details
Maximum grant amount: 8,000,000 EUR. Funding is provided as a lump sum, with eligible costs defined under Horizon Europe’s lump sum rules.What Is Funded
- Strengthening Ukrainian forest research systems and their integration into policy development.
- Digitalization of Ukraine’s forest cadastre and establishment of a national forest monitoring system.
- Capacity-building for Ukrainian institutions, governance frameworks, and research infrastructure.
- Modernization of forest education, training, and international collaboration.
- Alignment of Ukrainian forestry legislation, standards, and inspection systems with EU acquis.
- Innovation in sustainable forest management practices addressing climate change, biodiversity loss, and war impacts.
