Who Can Apply

Consortia of farmers, researchers, government representatives, agri-food supply chain operators (e.g., processors), and civil society organizations. Must implement a multi-actor approach, involving Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) disciplines. International cooperation is encouraged.

Funding Details

Maximum grant amount: €6,000,000. Funding is provided as a lump sum.

What Is Funded

  • Development of integrated risk and crisis management strategies for farms and agri-food supply chains.
  • Analysis of farmer decision-making, risk perceptions, and resilience capacities under climate change and biodiversity loss.
  • Testing of strategies via experimental approaches (e.g., living labs, demonstration sites).
  • Capacity-building, training, and education on risk and crisis management ("risk literacy").
  • Assessment of fair risk-sharing mechanisms along the agri-food supply chain.
  • Comparison of strategies across farming approaches, including organic farming.
  • Collaboration with other EU-funded projects and initiatives (e.g., EU Missions on Climate Adaptation and Soil).

Technology / Maturity Requirements

Projects must target Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) 4 to 6.
