What Is Funded
- Design, development, and testing of technical innovations for ecosystem protection and restoration, such as machinery, low-tech solutions, digital tools, or combinations thereof
- Innovations must address identified needs in terrestrial, freshwater, or marine ecosystems
- Focus on effectiveness, simplicity, durability, and environmental sustainability, including risk assessment for unintended consequences
- Cooperation with the EC Knowledge Centre for Biodiversity (KCBD) is required
