Who Can Apply

Consortia of legal entities (e.g., public administrations, SMEs, research institutions, not-for-profit organizations, cultural actors) from eligible countries. Projects must involve social sciences and humanities (SSH) expertise and adopt a transdisciplinary approach.

Funding Details

  • Maximum grant amount: €5,500,000
  • Currency: EUR
  • Financial support to third parties: Up to €150,000 per third party for demonstration activities
  • Budget allocation: At least 0.8% of the total budget must be reserved for engagement with the Horizon Europe-funded "New European Bauhaus hub for results and impact"

What Is Funded

  • Development and demonstration of co-governance approaches in at least ten neighbourhoods (urban, peri-urban, rural) across at least three eligible countries
  • Inclusive, cultural, and sustainable neighbourhood development through:
- More-than-human approaches addressing climate, biodiversity, and pollution - Balancing power and knowledge asymmetries among stakeholders - Empowering marginalized groups in the green transition - Use of digital tools (e.g., AI-supported platforms, open data) for participatory processes - Engagement of cultural actors and local knowledge systems
  • Evaluation of co-governance effectiveness and production of policy guidance
