Targets consortia aiming to develop models, tools, and initiatives that enhance knowledge transfer and entrepreneurial engagement.

Who Can Apply

Consortia of legal entities, including universities, public research organisations, SMEs, startups, industry partners, and other relevant stakeholders from eligible countries.

Funding Details

Maximum grant amount: 12,500,000 EUR. Funding is provided as a lump sum.

What Is Funded

  • Development of models and tools to facilitate access to and utilisation of unused academic intellectual property (IP) and patents by startups and SMEs.
  • Pilots for engaging students, researchers, and innovators in IP valorisation, including hackathons, workshops, and summer camps.
  • Use of AI for managing and valorising research results and IP.
  • Initiatives to reduce the gender gap and promote diversity in knowledge valorisation.

Technology / Maturity Requirements

Projects must target Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) 4 to 6.

Application Process (High-Level)

Single-stage application process via the Funding & Tenders Portal. Proposals must adhere to page limits and layout requirements specified in the Horizon Europe Work Programme General Annexes.

Post-Award Obligations

  • The granting authority may object to the transfer of ownership or exclusive licensing of results for up to four years after the action ends.
  • Standard reporting and dissemination requirements apply as per Horizon Europe guidelines.
