Volunteering Teams in High Priority Areas - 2026

Overview

Supports youth-led volunteering teams addressing unmet societal challenges in disaster preparedness, support for disadvantaged youth, or intergenerational fairness. Targets organizations enabling young people to gain skills while delivering tangible community benefits.

Who Can Apply

Non-profit organizations, public bodies, and informal groups of young people legally established in eligible countries. Consortia of at least two organizations from different eligible countries are required.

Funding Details

Total budget: EUR 12 million. Maximum grant per project: EUR 500,000. Funding rate: up to 90% of eligible costs.

What Is Funded

Projects addressing one or more of the following:

• Enhancing disaster preparedness and relief for conflict-displaced persons or disaster victims.
• Fostering learning and skill development for young people with fewer opportunities.
• Promoting intergenerational fairness and solidarity.

Activities must include direct interaction between volunteers and beneficiaries, with a focus on inclusion, diversity, and EU values.

Technology / Maturity Requirements

Projects must demonstrate a technology readiness level (TRL) between 4 and 6, indicating validation in a relevant environment.
